Assistant Plant Supervisor Location: Somerville, New Jersey Schedule: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Pay Range: $25-$27 per hour Employment Type: Full-Time Overview: Organization is seeking a hands-on Assistant Plant Supervisor to support daily warehouse and production operations. This role will serve as the direct "#2" to the Plant Supervisor, helping manage a 15-person team and ensure efficiency, safety, and quality across the plant. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, organized, and eager to take ownership in a fast-paced metal processing environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Plant Supervisor in overseeing daily plant operations and personnel. Coordinate workflow for receiving, processing, and shipping metal coils. Support setup and operation of the leveling line to remove imperfections and prepare coils for distribution. Maintain process accuracy and ensure quality standards are met. Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives. Perform light quality control checks and documentation. Utilize computer systems for scheduling, reporting, and inventory tracking. Foster a safe and organized work environment. Qualifications: Prior supervisory or team lead experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting. Mechanically inclined with hands-on knowledge of production or material handling equipment. Strong computer and organizational skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Experience in the industrial materials / warehouse or related environment is a plus. #ZR
