Title: Machine Operator (Balancer)

Location: Connersville, IN Facility (Roots Blower - 900 W Mount St. Connersville, IN 47331 - Union Facility)

Shift: 2nd shift (3pm - 11pm) - will train on 1st Shift

Pay: $23.25 per hour to start based on Union Contract

Job Overview:
The Machine Operator is responsible for building, assembling, and testing rotary positive blowers and gas pumps. Collective Bargaining Agreement language applies to this position.

Responsibilities:
* Review all manufacturing paperwork in packets or at work-site for machining directions. Advises supervisor of problems associated with material quality or piece count, tooling, operation, etc.
* Sets up and operates one or more machines simultaneously (see list) to manufacture a variety of parts in support of production schedules and perform various operations within the machine tools.
* Makes machine and tooling changes, adjustments, and calibrations required to maintain design tolerances.
* Performs and documents all visual and instrument inspections, as required, using a variety of inspections gauges and tools to ensure that tolerances and quality requirements satisfactory.
* Performs all necessary duties of the classification.
* Perform in-process quality checks and accurately fills out all Quality and Production associated documentation.
* Accurately report labor transactions, and material counts manually or electronically.
* Safely operates overhead crane, hoist, or handcart to obtain parts, tooling, fixtures, etc., necessary for a machining operation, per job requirements.
* Operates overhead crane equipped with pendant or radio control to transport or position materials, parts, supplies, units, etc. Selects proper rigging to be used and assists where required by the size or shape of the load.
* Maintains a clean and orderly work area by performing such duties as returning tooling, parts, and equipment to proper storage, wiping off the machine, disposing of trash, and broom sweeping work areas.
* Observes plant rules and demonstrates safe working practices..

Requirements:
* 1+ Years of experience with working in a manufacturing Envrioment

Core Competencies:
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
* Open to any shift, holidays, weekends, and overtime
* Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

Preferences:
* High School Diploma or GED
* Overhead Crane and Forklift Expereince is preferred

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:
This position will be based at our site in Connersville, IN no travel.

Pay Range:
Starting Pay will range starts at $23.25 per hour depending on Union Contract. This is a full-time, hourly position.

The pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
