The Director, Technology to Market will serve as the primary partner for to accelerate products and services to market. This role will establish strong, collaborative relationships with the Business Units while championing a culture of innovation. This strategic role bridges R&D, product development, business development, and marketing to ensure new technologies meet real market needs and delivery business value.

More specifically, you will



  • Identify and validate market opportunities for emerging technologies, lead market assessments, competitive analysis, and customer discovery processes
  • Drive alignment with BU technology scaling and maturation making the link with the business unit bottom line.
  • Increase market-responsive product offerings by implementing new stage-gate process and in aligned with Strategy and Technology Roadmap Program.
  • Ensure technology development teams in D&I and BU understand the goals and the objectives of the business plan and have the right resources to accomplish them.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of the business unit and its strategic objectives and priorities to align technology solutions and initiatives with the goals of the organization.
  • Work with innovators to deliver their project's ensuring work has secured appropriate governance approvals, buy-in from senior teams and has sufficient resource and capacity to deliver effectively.
  • Partner with Business Unit Leaders to successfully scale-up and commercialize products, ensuring key design criteria are met.
  • Support or lead DOE, ARPA-E or other federal/state funding initiatives, guide grand commercialization planning
  • Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration across different product teams and functional areas.



Experience



  • Bachelors required, with an advanced degree of Masters or PhD preferred.
  • At least 15 years of experience, with 10+ years of progressive leadership and management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale initiatives and complex projects to completion, as well as to influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to lead a team of people managers to successfully execute strategy
  • Ability to distill customer needs and direct the right technology approaches
  • Ability to lead and mentor cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Excellent executive communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to convey complex information to different stakeholders effectively.



We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $162,000 to $202,500 per year. In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
