Software Application Developer

Description

Leidos is in need of a software applications developer to support a dynamic and exciting software development program. This position will be part of a team of applications developers supporting multiple projects, which include high profile high visibility projects offering technical learning opportunities. This position is located in Northern Virginia and does not require travel. An active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required to be considered.

The ideal software developer will have the capacity to develop in ServiceNow to support emerging technology. The developer will work with the overall program team in the design and development of new applications as well as integrating new solutions on existing applications. The candidate will be able to analyze and solve complex application development needs to identify solutions to include potential new tools/technologies. A strong candidate will have a commanding knowledge of ServiceNow software development principles and be energized by the capability to learn and implement new skills. The candidate should be proficient in application development to include troubleshooting and testing of software upgrades. Products and/or services reside in development, test and production. Experience working in a DevOps environment developing within an Agile environment using code delivery mechanisms, such as GitHub and standard release management processes. Technical expertise with JavaScript, Glide API, HTML, CSS, and Angular JS frameworks.

Required Experience:

• Requires a Bachelor and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience
• Must have a TS/SCI with Poly to be considered
• ServiceNow Development/Administration
• Hands-on experience developing, along with experience with REST/SOAP
• Clearance: Must have a TS/SCI with Polygraph to be considered
• Workspace development (core 3 UIs that SN - you can develop in)
• System integration
• Service portal development
• Requirement analysis
• Workflow automation
• Testing and quality assurance
• Teamwork: ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-based environment
• Documentation experience to create/maintain technical documentation
• Collaboration skills to participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies

Desired Experience and Skills:

• Salesforce Development
• Integration methodologies including the use of MID servers
• Docker Container experience
• Experience developing in PHP or the willingness to learn PHP
• Experience developing HTML views with CSS
• Python Experience
