SkyWater is hiring a Payroll & Equity Accountant to ensure accurate and timely payroll accounting. This position will primarily focus on payroll, benefit, & equity compensation accounting activities. This role will involve collaboration with Payroll Senior Analyst to ensure system configuration is established for accounting needs.


Responsibilities:



  • Prepare accurate general ledger payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll, benefit, & equity-related general-ledger accounts.
  • Assist with the implementation of system upgrades, enhancements, and new modules related to HRIS, payroll, equity, and benefits working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Collaborate with HR team members on various projects, such as compensation analysis, benefits administration, and HR data analytics.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, standard operating procedures, and training materials for HRIS, payroll, equity, and benefit processes.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues, partnering with internal stakeholders and Ceridian support to resolve complex problems efficiently and timely.


Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • At least 5 years of experience in HRIS and payroll administration, preferably in a multi-state environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in resolving complex payroll-related issues and working with vendor support.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with utmost integrity and discretion.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • High level of organization and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other HRIS-related tools.
  • HR or payroll certification (e.g., CPP, FPC, PHR) is a plus.

The annual salary range for this role is $75,280 - $112,920. Pay offered is based on many factors including, but not limited to, the job-related experience, skills, education, and credentials of each candidate.
