| Description Multi-Discipline Engineer III -"W-TRS" Fort Irwin, Barstow, California  Job Summary:  V2X is seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to oversee a multi-disciplinary team supporting the National Training Center Instrumentation System (NTC IS) and its associated networks and frequency spectrum. This leadership role involves managing the full lifecycle of engineering programs-from proposal and design through implementation, testing, sustainment, and modernization-ensuring alignment with local NTC IS and Department of Defense (DoD) objectives. Key Responsibilities: 
  
 Lead and mentor a team of 15-20 engineers and technical staff, ensuring delivery of high-quality system solutions and career development.Oversee engineering execution for NTC IS and training networks, including RF systems, system/network administration, and system integration.Collaborate with cross-functional leaders (Chief Engineers, Program Managers, and Technical Leads) to drive proposals, ensure compliance, and exceed customer expectations.Provide technical oversight of subcontractors and guide strategic workforce planning and succession management.Support business development efforts through engineering input on proposals, white papers, and technical roadmaps.Deliver detailed technical reports, highlight engineering milestones, and represent V2X in customer and leadership briefings.
 Required Qualifications: 
  
 8+ years of engineering experience in the DoD sector.Expertise in system/network administration, RF coverage analysis, cybersecurity, and system lifecycle management.Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop technical staff to include engineers and field technicians.Strong communication, proposal development, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
 Preferred Qualifications: 
  
 Familiarity with CTC operations and rotational supportExperience with spectrum management tools and RF planning softwareFamiliarity with RF path analysis, coverage modeling, and antenna design/selection principlesAbility to perform as a proposal leader with experience in capture management: creating/reviewing RFPs, SOWs, BOEs, tech volumes, and proposalsUnderstanding of software design and implementation in embedded systems for DoD platformsExperience with commercial-off-the-shelf security technologies and trusted productsKnowledge of reverse engineering principles and methodsExperience in Network Design, implementation and support.
