We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon. As a Director, Logistics & Freight Management-North America supporting the U.S. Distribution Freight Team, a typical day will include:

• Manages the logistics, inventory management, and supply chain analytics.
• Manage the transportation of goods, shipments, and freight forwarding, ensuring customs compliance within the supply chain
• Oversee third-party vendors and their performance to ensure quality and service.
• Develop and implement distribution strategies to optimize business performance and align with company goals.
• Foster a culture of excellence by leading performance management, driving talent development, ensuring positive employee relations, and enhancing employee engagement and recognition.
• Make key decisions requiring departmental expertise, leadership, strategic thinking, effective communication, and efficient resource management.
• Ensure all associates adhere to Good Practice (GxP) regulations by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate documentation, and completing required training.
• Contribute to overall compliance and continuous improvement within the organization.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +18 yrs; Assoc.+14 yrs; M.S.+7 yrs; PhD+6 yrs)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
• 10 Years of Relevant Experience
• 6 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
• Worksite location: Onsite
• Travel: 5%
• Relocation: No
• Sponsorship Assistance: No

Preferred:

• Experience overseeing transportation management.
