Hiring Range: $350,000 - $475,000

UMass Memorial Health, the premier health and wellness partner for the people of Central Massachusetts and the largest healthcare system in the region, is seeking a Gastroenterologist with expertise in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) to join our growing gastroenterology team. This position offers the opportunity to join our established IBD Center within a collaborative academic and community-based environment with integrated pharmacy, advanced practitioner, social work, and nutrition support. This position offers competitive salary with participation in an annual bonus program, driven by RVUs as well as our Quality, Scholarship, Citizenship Grid in addition to the base salary. Key Highlights

  • Join the UMass Memorial IBD Center serving patients across Southern New England.

  • Care for a diverse patient population with Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, and other inflammatory bowel disorders

  • Collaborate closely with colorectal surgery, radiology, pathology, nutrition, social work, pharmacy, and advanced practice providers to deliver multidisciplinary IBD care

  • Opportunity to help shape and expand IBD services across the UMass Memorial Health system

  • Clinic schedule: 2 sessions/week (1 day), seeing an average of 8 patients per session

  • Procedural schedule: 6 sessions/week (3 days total)

  • Academic and administrative time: 2 sessions/week (1 day)

  • Night call rotation (1:7 call)

  • Electronic Medical Record system: Epic.

  • Academic appointment with UMass Chan commensurate with experience

  • Opportunities to engage in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, community outreach, and leadership roles

Qualifications

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology

  • Must hold a MD or DO degree and qualify for a Massachusetts license

  • Expertise in the diagnosis and management of the full spectrum of gastrointestinal disorders, with demonstrated interest and experience in managing IBD. Advanced IBD fellowship training is an asset but is not required
