The Senior Dosimetrist designs treatment plans by means of computer and/or manual computation to deliver a prescribed radiation dose and field placement technique per the physician's prescription to a defined tumor volume. This includes consideration of dose-limiting structures in the design of treatment. Additionally, the dosimetrist plans and documents doses in accordance with the Radiation Oncologist's prescription. This role also provides physics and technical support to the relevant staff and faculty, including radiation protection, qualitative machine calibration, and quality assurance of radiation oncology equipment. It involves assisting with specific dosimetry methods, including ion chamber, TLD, and film measurements as directed by the Chief Dosimetrist. The dosimetrist also assists in intracavitary and interstitial brachytherapy procedures. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $169,546 - $210,846 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $81.20 - $100.98 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
