About the Job

Duties/Responsibilities:

Data (65%):
* Perform data analysis.
* Interpret and present data.
* Respond to data queries.
* Provide experimental errors and statistics on these data.

Databases (20%):
* Maintain study databases.
* Ensure accurate data entry.
* Ensuring accurate methods and procedures are used.

Records and Procedures (10%):
* Keep meticulously detailed records of all experiments and procedures.

Equipment (5%):
* Operate routine research equipment such as balance sensors record results.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
* BA/BS in a science-related field or a combination of related education and work experience to equal four years.
* Strong quantitative analysis skills, including knowledge in statistical analysis software (R, Python, MatLab, etc).
* Applies knowledge and skill to a recurring task or activity with emphasis typically on precision and timeliness of execution.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
* Ability to follow strict research protocols with utmost ethical standards.
* Knowledge of informed consent process.
* Experience with Office Suite, Google Apps, and web-based systems for tracking activities, calendaring, and retrieving/updating information.
* Possess excellent communication skills; oral and written.

Preferred:
* Experience in the preparation of IRB applications and study-related documents.
* Familiarity with clinical research at the University of Minnesota, University of Minnesota Medical Center Fairview hospitals and clinics, and Veterans Administration Health Care System.
* EPIC familiarity.
* Medical terminology knowledge.
* Background in neurosciences.
* Experience with data extraction, using SQL, R, or similar tools.
* 1-3 years working with patients in healthcare setting.

Pay Range: $22.25/hr - $24.04/hr; depending on education/qualifications/experience.

Time Appointment: 100% Appointment
