| Our Opening and Your Responsibilities Role/Purpose: The Mechanical Operations Technician Level I, utilizes tools, fixtures, and work instructions to support repair of low complexity conveyors and/or Metal Detector repair and new build production. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
    Follow detailed work instructions, processes and proceduresDiagnose, refurbish and repair product inspection equipment in accordance with Risk Assessment and Safe Mechanical and Electrical guidelinesReport problems with quality, processes, equipment and material to Repair Supervisors and/or Repair ManagerDocument actions by completing quality checklistsWork with supervision to understand our process capabilities and develop ideas that reduce costs and improve qualityProvide basic hands-on job function training to coworkers as neededMaintain a safe, clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functionMaintain a positive work atmosphere by performing and communicating in a manner that promotes good relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and managementConserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job resultsAccurately track and record time spent on projectsAdheres to all company policies and proceduresOccasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50lbsOther duties as assignedPerform entry level SAP TransactionsAssist higher level techs as needed and learn for advancementBasic understanding of SAP processes and transactions regarding production ordersCarry out tasks in one of the areas below: Conveyors
   
    
    Evaluate, repair, and test, Xray, Metal Detection, and/or Checkweigh with support/ supervisionSearch and compile parts lists from Teamcenter and SAP order BOMsEnter Detailed QN tasks Detector Prep
   
    
    Disassemble and prepare product inspection equipment in accordance with Risk assessment and Safe Mechanical and Electrical GuidelinesFollow detailed work instructions to remove liners, cables, and graphite from the MD HeadsUse safety procedures while disposing of crates, cardboard, and wood boxesFollow work instructions provided to empty and reload vacuum chambers Liner/ Former Installation
   
    
    Prepare, assemble and install all types of HD, ABS and Pharm style liners on Metal DetectorsSetup Metal Detectors for overnight testing when completed and verify performanceUse ADM polymer Concrete Casting machine to carry out the potting process for new builds with supportUse the Delta DX 730 Encapsulation system to carry out the topping up process for new builds with supportResponsible for cleaning and preventative maintenance of the machines with support/ supervisionSupport the head build process of glueing internal former to metal detector case Quality Control
   
    
    Perform QC inspection and shipping requirements with support/ supervisionTest mechanical operation of equipment to ensure that it meets specifications with support/ supervisionComplete final Quality assurance check list, PVC, and shipping documents with photograph and documentation of equipment shippedResponsible for proper and safe packaging of equipment and movement to shipping department Test Samples
   
    
    Assemble test cards, sticks, balls, wands, tablets and test plugs with support/ supervisionUtilize programs and engraving machines to make samplesUtilize and operate drill press, laminating machine, and glue gunRequires proper cataloging storage and precise inventory rotation of the certified spheresMaintain accurate certified contaminate sphere records on shared excel database, printing labels and maintaining locked sphere storageInterface closely with internal sources of test sample materials, communicating needs in such a fashion that stockouts do not occur; also responsible for pick up of those internal generated materialsEnsure all test cards are tested for quality assurance before shipmentBasic knowledge of SAP able to close out production ordersCreate own certificates in job workbookUse micrometer to measure incoming product and document measurements in systemWhat You Need to Succeed Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
