WHAT TO EXPECT

As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located in our Poplar Bluff plant, you will be a Planner.


The Planner is responsible for scheduling and coordinating supply requirements from internal manufacturing plants, third-party suppliers, and affiliate facilities. This role prioritizes production lines and supplier activities to meet both internal and external customer demands. The Planner creates and maintains production schedules to ensure service level and inventory targets are achieved, while maintaining accurate planning data and pricing information within ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities (to name a few):

  • Schedule and coordinate supply requirements-both manufactured and purchased-from internal plants, third-party suppliers, or affiliate facilities
  • Establish priorities for production lines and assigned suppliers to meet internal and external customer requirements
  • Create and maintain production schedules to achieve service level and inventory targets
  • Maintain planning data, pricing (as required), and other relevant information for assigned items within ERP systems
  • Conduct root cause analysis for service level or inventory variances, and initiate and monitor corrective actions
  • Assist in selecting sources of supply (manufacturing plant or supplier) and serve as the primary liaison between Gates customers and the supply source
  • Resolve issues related to schedule adherence, product quality, or pricing by coordinating with appropriate internal departments
  • Update and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for upper management review to ensure alignment with business objectives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Demonstrate strong time management skills by effectively prioritizing tasks, managing multiple deadlines, and maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Audit high-volume SKU counts and ensure planning parameters are met on a quarterly basis.

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Solid knowledge of production, purchasing, and inventory planning
  • Experience in a high SKU count environment preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
  • Microsoft Suite experience required
