Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Duration: 12 months, possible extension

Location: 100% onsite in Seattle, WA

Shifts: 1st shift 7:00 am - 3:30 pm


Client is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to support Wire Shops, Systems, and Test Labs in Seattle, or Tukwila, Washington. A successful candidate in this role will have passion, creativity, and an insatiable desire for process improvement and efficiency. We need highly responsible professionals committed to upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and integrity.

Manufacturing Engineers are owners of the build plan and ensure compliance to design configuration, build plan, and process requirements, Manufacturing Engineering performs Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) analysis and develops an integrated build plan consisting of work instructions for assembly/fabrication, kitting, tooling, inspection requirements, and other outputs to endure fabrication meets design, test, and program requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

* Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies.

* Participates in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.

* Develops, identifies, and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build.

* Leads and implements manufacturing plans.

* Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.

* Leads in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices.

* Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.

* Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost, or schedule.

* Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies, and concepts.

* Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems. Implements lean principles and technologies.

Required Skills:

* Bachelor's, Master or Doctorate of Science degree required from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry is required.

* Knowledge of electrical/mechanical manufacturing processes and assembly sequencing.

* Prior experience working on a Manufacturing System.

* Experience with using manufacturing tools (PDM, CAPP, CMES, MESci, EPARTs, GOLDesp).

Preferred Skills:

* 3 + years of experience working in a production and/or manufacturing environment.

* 3 + years of experience leading or managing projects and/or teams.

* 3 + years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role.

* Experience with space or military electronics.

* Experience in Project management.

* Experience in Work Package Estimating.
