Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite for our client in Fremont, CA. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Responsible for preventative/corrective maintenance, trouble shooting, upgrades, and calibration on equipment in the applications lab.
  • Performs the preventative/corrective maintenance using necessary Personal Protective Equipment which may include APR (Air Purifying Respirator) and SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus) for safe handling of hazardous materials.
  • Works closely with and supports Process Development, Hardware, and Software Engineering department's R&D activities and customer demos/commits.
  • Installs and supports prototype equipment and may develop procedures and documentation as needed in support of design and R&D activities which likely have little or no written procedures.
  • This job may also include aspects of field and direct customer support and is not limited to system hardware and software.
  • Occasionally may train Field Service Engineers, Engineering Technicians, other Laboratory Service Engineers, or Process Engineers from regional accounts.

Pay: $43.50 /hr

Hours: 40 hrs / Week

Length: Temporary (24 months)

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with helium leak checking.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Field Support Engineer or Product Support Engineer or other semiconductor equipment companies, tools

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Good electro-mechanical troubleshooting background
  • Ability to work independently from schematics, P&IDs, and procedures.
  • Good electro-mechanical work/troubleshooting background.
  • Be able to work with minimal supervision from schematics, P&IDs, signal lists, and procedures.
  • Able to learn and utilize specialized applications needed to perform tasks.
  • Good written and oral English communication skills - other languages.
  • Have good decision-making skills.
  • Thrive in a new product group lab - think start-up atmosphere.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be needed to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the necessary employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
  • May be needed to travel domestically and internationally to customer sites to address tool/system issues that cannot be resolved without their support.
