Overview

Join a front office engineering team building and evolving Deutsche Bank's electronic trading platform for Fixed Income & Currencies. As part of our multi-year-old platform modernization project, you will be responsible for building a suite of new, real-time, high-performance applications supporting various trading workflows. You will be involved in building solutions across the stack and working closely with Business stakeholders to build a maintainable, operationally efficient and scalable platform to last the next decade.

What You'll Do

  • Develop a suite of modern, real-time, high-performance React applications to support core rates and credit trading workflows

  • Drive full-stack solution design - collaborate with backend engineers to design and deliver end-to-end solutions

  • Engage directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand workflows and rapidly deliver impactful features that improve business efficiency

Skills You'll Need

  • Solid Core Java Skills with a good understanding of Java fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, collections, exception handling and concurrency programming

  • Distributed Systems and Event-Driven Architecture; Experience with microservice concepts and frameworks, including event-driven architectures, with a desire to build deeper expertise

  • Integration, application programming interface (API) Development and Databases; Experience in designing, building and deploying RESTful and event-driven APIs, with foundational knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and relational database design, plus exposure to containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes

  • Appreciation of Front-End Technologies - Awareness of user interface (UI) constraints and experience with React and Typescript is a plus

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Experience with reactive programming models is a plus

  • Champion solid engineering and software development life cycle (SDLC) practices - requirements/analysis, design patterns, code reviews, automated testing, secure by design implementation, and controlled releases

  • Collaborate with a global engineering team to develop modern solutions as part of tech transformation

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $100,000 to $142,250. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
