Location: Kent, WA

Pay: $50 - $60 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday (with weekends as needed)

Summary

Be a hands-on leader in our machining operations-managing quoting, programming, setup, and team coordination. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in producing precision parts and mentoring others.

What You'll Do



  • Program & Machine: Develop and modify NC programs for mill and lathe operations using MasterCAM.
  • Quote & Estimate: Support the sales team by quoting jobs, estimating machine time, and advising on tooling costs.
  • Lead & Mentor: Oversee and guide a small team of machinists, promoting a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Design & Document: Create setup sheets, tool lists, and fixture designs to ensure accurate, repeatable results.
  • Maintain Quality: Support AS9100 audits and ensure compliance with all quality and safety standards.
  • Improve Processes: Identify and implement improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Collaborate: Communicate effectively with sales, customers, and production teams to meet project requirements.



What We're Looking For



  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in CNC programming and 8 years total machining experience (mills and lathes).
  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in MasterCAM and G & M codes
    • Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading
    • Fixture and tooling design experience
    • Knowledge of stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, nickel, and other exotic materials


  • Leadership: Proven ability to mentor machinists and oversee daily operations.
  • Attention to Detail: Skilled in precision measurement and quality control.
  • Other Requirements:

    • Purchasing experience a plus
    • Design-for-manufacture background preferred
    • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
