Position Purpose:

This position will be primarily managing the main stockrooms for new and surplus equipment to include maintaining appropriate inventory levels, placing stock replenishment orders, monitoring trends and adjusting as needed, reconciling asset and inventory counts against the system of record. This job involves physically lifting/moving equipment in a warehouse setting as well as processing tasks in the system.

Other tasks will include supporting the asset management life cycle of information technology hardware and/or software assets throughout the organization. Ensuring appropriate reconciliation of assets across multiple company networks to maintain an accurate inventory in compliance with all regulatory entities.

Location:

This is a full time (40 hours a week Monday-Friday) and fully onsite position located in Columbia, South Carolina. This position will operate in a fast paced, multi-platformed environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer. Travel to BCBSSC sites may be required.

What You'll Do:

  • Analyze and reconcile asset inventories and entitlements against discovery data, confirming assets are appropriately reported on network connection scans. Log, track and reallocate assets in the ITAM system through all stages of the asset lifecycle.

  • Create service tickets to correct any asset discrepancies found through the reconciliation process and monitor the ticket status to ensure completion and close out.

  • Develop, update and maintain valid inventory processes and procedures.

  • Create and coordinate software and/or hardware inventory reporting in support of compliance, inventory management activities, utilization, and budgeting functions.

To Qualify for This Position, You'll Need the Following:

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's in a job related field

Degree Equivalency:

  • Associates degree plus an extra 2 years job related work experience for a total of 4 years of required work experience (see "required work experience")

OR

  • 6 total years required work experience.

Required Work Experience:

  • 2 years of asset management, procurement, workstation support, or other job-related work experience.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Asset Management policies, procedures and concepts. Understanding of hardware/software licensing/maintenance models.

  • Strong analytical, assessment and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, planning and time management skills, with ability to prioritize and multi-task assignments.

Required Software and Other Tools:

  • Microsoft Office.

We Prefer That You Have the Following:

  • Experience managing hardware inventory in a stockroom environment.

  • ICD inventory control.

  • ServiceNow experience.
