Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Analyst, Revenue Assurance, to join our growing team! As an Analyst, Revenue Assurance, you will report directly to the Manager, Revenue Assurance.You will create and maintain audits and controls to ensure revenue leakage is identified and corrected. The primary focus of this role includes developing audits, auditing, analysis and reporting of the financial impacts of these audits.This position requires exceptional interpersonal skills, a high comfort level with dynamic priorities, a curiosity and willingness to solve business problems and identify new problems.You have a strong awareness of the systems used for order entry, provisioning and invoicing customers and are proficient in financial analysis.You will be equally comfortable working directly with all levels of the organization, from frontline sales, billing and collections teams to senior management. AsAnalyst, Revenue Assurance, you willhavethe following responsibilities:

  • Performing detailed customer audits that identify revenue recovery and cost savings opportunities
  • Isolatingand researching services, analyzingthe business drivers, determiningroot cause, and working with functional and business teams to resolve leakage issues
  • Conducting variance reporting, root cause identification, and error resolution resulting in revenue recovery or cost savings
  • Designing and implementing financial assurance controls including source data acquisition, normalization, and automation. Implementing new control points and metrics as the business changes
  • Leading efforts that prevent revenue leakage, reduce cost, increase revenue and reduce defects
  • Auditing and evaluatingcustomer's invoices, contracts, and orders to ensure revenue is billed appropriately
  • Monitoring usage trends and control points
  • Optimizingbusiness intelligence including query development and data analysis
  • Building and running queries and conducting complex data analysis
  • Supporting adhoc requests and projects as requested by the supported organizations and teams
Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Revenue Assurance
  • Strong project management and planning skills
  • Strong PC software application skills including spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software
  • Analytical mind which can process information logically delivering value added analysis
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Able to communicate effectively orally and in writing with appropriate detail, judgement, and discretion at all levels of the organization including senior management.
  • Relationship-builder and strong listening skills
  • Demonstrates competence, professionalism, and leadership presence: Is objective and free from undue influence; conveys sound judgment; builds trust; is collaborative, insightful, proactive, and future-focused
  • Well-organized, ensuring that all deliverables are met on time with excellent results and anticipates implementation or workload issues related to emerging developments
  • Demonstrates integrity and the highest ethical standards in all aspects
  • Ability to learn complex systems, process quickly and be able to convey that knowledge to others.
  • Be a "self-starter" committed to customer satisfaction/project delivery and able to respond to rapid change within the business

BONUS POINTS FOR:

  • Telecommunications industry revenue assurance experience
  • Telecommunications experience with understanding and navigating Tariffs
  • Telecommunications background in Local ILEC billing systems
  • Experience with the Carrier Access Billing System (CABS) and SAP BRIM
