The Intake Specialist serves as a patient advocate and allows access to life changing care for members of the community. Intake Specialists work within a collaborative team including physicians, providers, other intake specialists and many other members of a multidisciplinary team. The Intake Specialist gains career experience to develop and progress with a nationally recognized behavioral health leader. Job Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Accomplish the following pre-admission steps:
2. Complete all documentation steps for each inquiry and assessment.
3. Adhere to department standards as it relates to performance measures.
4. Connect potential patients and/or their representative with outside resources when indicated. 5. Collaborate with internal departments and external facilities/referents as it relates access to care. 6. Participate in the On-Call, weekend, and holiday schedule, as assigned. 7. Complete other duties as assigned by Admissions leadership. 8. Understand and apply policies and procedures in accordance with external regulatory agencies:
