The Sr. Project Manager for Revenue Cycle Operational Transformation plays a pivotal role in driving the transition to a Center of Excellence model, emphasizing proactive engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement across the network. This senior-level position is responsible for overseeing all phases of project and program development related to revenue cycle operations, from initial design through final implementation. Acting as the primary point of contact, the Sr. Project Manager coordinates cross-functional teams, manages project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables, and ensures integration of vendor tasks. The role requires creative problem-solving, significant autonomy, and the ability to anticipate and adapt to change, while providing guidance to less experienced colleagues and contributing to the development of new methods and practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides a single point of contact for projects.
  • Defines project scope and objectives.
  • Under the leadership for the VP. Revenue Cycle Transformation, responsible for shepherding projects from original concept through final implementation.
  • Interfaces with key stakeholders and all areas affected by the project which may include customers, client services and various departments (e.g. marketing, computer services etc.).
  • Coordinates all aspects of project and serves as project manager between clients, line management and internal and external resources.
  • Monitors the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with customer on all matters.
  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals.
  • Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, budgets, and status reports.
  • Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project deliverables.
  • Manages the integration of vendor tasks, and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.

Minimum Requirement

  • BS Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.

Critical Skills

  • 7+ years of project management experience
  • Work is accomplished without considerable direction
  • Exerts significant latitude in determining objectives of assignment
  • Anticipates change and directs or redirects efforts.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Exceptional collaboration, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Six Sigma preferred
  • Project Management Certification preferred

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. $107,200 - $178,600
