About the role:
As a Senior Customer Solutions Manager on our AP1000 team, you will defend and expand America's ES market share for products/services associated with the AP1000Plant design and manage the strategic integration of these changes into the AP1000 fleet. You will meet operating plant customer needs and WEC quarterly financial targets while developing projects that enable the long-term integration of WEC with AP1000 Utilities as an Engineer of Choice. You will report to the Director, AP1000. This is a remote role that can be performed from anywhere in the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop differentiated offerings through understanding of customer-specific needs, processes, requirements and subsequent solution selection.
- Understand customer needs and develop a program and offer to establish Westinghouse as an Engineer of Choice for AP1000 Utilities to ensure long-term OE.
- Manage the strategic integration of changes into the AP1000 fleet by developing multi-unit pricing through collaboration across WEC business units and by selling the changes to multiple utilities simultaneously.
- Collaborate with WEC stakeholders to develop an AP1000 owner's group which defends WEC IP and enables collaboration.
- Oversee development of the technical content of proposal, costing & pricing, responsiveness and quality of bid.
- Collaborate with all Westinghouse businesses to develop turn-key products for the AP1000 plant design.
- Develop strategy to control the AP1000 plant design IP and monetization of multi-unit design changes. Enable the use of Vogtle Unit 4 as a baseline for future project development and transition from construction to operation.
- Aggregate financials, OE including pipeline growth, and MAS for product/technology areas.
- Monitor and assess near-term market trends, customer buying patterns and competitor moves to adjust product positioning. Recommend price to capture maximum market value while delivering on business plan assumptions such as MAS; collaborate with sales to agree on final price to customer.
- Collaborate with sales on capture planning and final order negotiations.
- Support AP1000 engineering activities to aggregate product financials and regular financial forecasting.
- Support AP1000 Engineering activities to develop resource demand signal for engineering and manufacturing.
- Engage on emergent customer issues with the SNC Project Director, leading team until project management is available and engaged, working with collective team to develop technical and commercial solution. Collaborate with project teams to understand status of projects, supporting resolution of challenges during project execution
- Develop relationships with internal stakeholders, such as Engineering and OMS resource managers, to ensure people, processes and technology are available to deliver offer commitments as well as promote market growth.
- Collaborate with resource managers across all WEC departments to produce high quality ready-to-use proposals.
- Ensure good understanding of Intellectual Property aspects of offers and ongoing projects; facilitate needed discussions to develop position on IP.
- Oversee approval for release of IP to external stakeholders (e.g., customers, 3rd parties) with Engineering leadership.
- Collaborate and co-ordinate with peer leaders in OMS to ensure cohesive approach to market and holistic customer support and satisfaction (e.g., DECP installation, Squib valve replacement).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
- 10+ years relevant experience in product management, product engineering, resource management, business or operation with increasing progression and complexity and levels
- Knowledge of Nuclear Power Plant design, market and customers preferred. Strong customer relationship and customer insights, technical consultative selling, competitor analysis, and design reviews.
- Experience developing organizational structures and metrics to support program goals.
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $144,000.00 to $180,000.00 per year.
