About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn't a buzzword - it's a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You're in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

Technical Program Managers (TPMs) play a pivotal, mission-critical role at Salesforce, architecting and spearheading massive-scale, multi-year, cross-functional strategic initiatives across our Technology, Marketing, and Products organizations. Senior Directors, TPM own the entire program lifecycle-from inception and strategic visioning to successful, high-impact delivery-by implementing enterprise-wide process transformation and establishing new standards for executive-level communication and alignment. They operate as strategic partners to the C-suite and key company executives, driving the most critical, high-visibility, and complex programs that define the future trajectory of the company.

About You
  • Visionary Leader who can simultaneously operate at the highest strategic altitude and deep dive into execution details.

  • Master Builder of Executive Trust who cultivates the relationships necessary to drive organizational change and secure high-level commitment.

  • Highly effective and composed operating within a fast-paced, high-stakes, and energizing executive environment.

  • Strategic Navigator comfortable bending seamlessly between establishing long-term strategy and directing tactical, multi-team execution.

  • Outstanding Executive Presence with a proven track record as an elite-level communicator and influencer.

  • A Principled, Service-Oriented Leader who institutionalizes a "Think Customer" and "Think Enterprise" mindset.

  • Thrives in a hyper-transparent flow of information, conversation, and ideas and actively champions this culture across the organization.

Your Impact
  • Define and direct a strategic portfolio of programs, establishing alignment across program scope, multi-year roadmaps, and release planning. You will be accountable for aligning entire organizations on a unified vision, key business goals, program structure, and securing critical cross-functional executive alignment.

  • Elevate the Software Engineering experience by driving large, multi-faceted teams through the Agile development lifecycle, leveraging advanced analytical and technical leadership skills.

  • Lead Executive Steering Committee meetings with C-suite and VP-level partners for each program to facilitate high-stakes decision-making, strategically remove systemic organizational obstacles, and proactively address critical program issues. Be the key, accountable driver to ensure strategic business goals are met and direct the strategic vision of the entire program portfolio.

  • Develop deeply trusted partnerships with executive functional team members to enforce focus on strategic business goals. Serve as the primary trusted partner for executive management to ensure program success at an organizational level.

  • Architect and lead complex organizational alignment forums to resolve tactical release issues, manage critical cross-program dependencies, synthesize organizational status, manage production issues, and review key portfolio metrics and achievements.

  • Own and govern all "program/feature" dependencies across multiple divisions, business units, functional areas, and external partners.

  • Anticipate, mitigate, and proactively remove high-priority, systemic obstacles with a sense of urgency that prevents teams from delivering on critical, enterprise-level goals.

  • Present sophisticated, executive-level monthly program reviews and updates (deep diving into current state, organizational risks, and critical path issues) to C-level and senior leadership.

  • Champion and cultivate a high-trust, collaborative environment that fosters creativity, innovation, and continuous learning across all constituent teams.

  • Act as a powerful catalyst for organizational transformation, one who can help advance our Technology, Marketing & Products organizational strategy globally and drive large-scale organizational change.

  • Create absolute clarity and certainty from chaos and ambiguity.

Requirements
  • 12+ years (or equivalent experience, with 5+ years at the Director/Senior Director level) of enterprise software/technical program or engineering management experience at a large enterprise technology company.

  • 8+ years of conducting and leading large-scale, high-visibility SaaS product development programs; demonstrated expert understanding of the SaaS business model and its product development lifecycle.

  • Deep experience leading programs/portfolios focused on data infrastructure, data science, AI enablement, and/or large-scale platform development.

  • Exceptional executive-level analytical and systemic problem-solving skills with a history of hands-on, detail-oriented oversight of complex data or engineering projects.

  • Mastery of the software development lifecycle and the ability to tailor and apply this knowledge in a dynamic environment using agile methodologies.

  • Proven ability to establish instant credibility and rapport and influence outcomes with C-level executives, senior management, and technical team members.

  • Superior organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills conducive to driving executive consensus; must excel in a complex, cross-functional, matrix management environment.

  • Expert-level experience with Portfolio Management, Resource Planning, and Organizational Change Management (OCM).

  • Ability to rapidly master highly technical subjects and technologies relevant to the program portfolio (e.g., data science, data engineering, Salesforce Data Cloud/Data 360, Tableau, AI/ML platforms).

  • Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent advanced work experience.
