The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Data Product Manager to lead the evolution of data products within our Sales domain, operating in a data mesh architecture. In this pivotal role, you'll bridge sales business needs with advanced data solutions, creating data products that empower our sales teams with actionable insights and accelerate revenue growth. You'll champion the "data as a product" philosophy, ensuring our sales stakeholders have data that is discoverable, addressable, trustworthy, and interoperable.

The Role:

As a Director in Data Product Management on the Sales Data Science team, you'll lead the development and productionalization for sales data use cases. You'll play a pivotal role in working with cross functional stakeholder and engineering teams to build dependable data products for real-time dashboards, predictive solutions and agentic applications. You will be deeply involved and driving data platform capabilities which ensure trusted data products, with high quality, governance, lineage, and reliability. Your work will enable the creation of powerful data mesh products which will serve an enterprise audience. Throughout, you'll ensure compliance with Product Legal, Data Governance, and Privacy/Consent standards. Your efforts will drive seamless data integration, activation, and broad organizational adoption.

What You'll Do:

  • Data Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for data products in the Sales domain, aligning with overall business objectives and data mesh principles.

  • Data-Driven Mindset: You're a data PM at heart, living by the principle "What is not measured cannot be improved" by expertly defining, measuring, and monitoring adoption metrics and business impact metrics.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales leadership, operations, and individual contributors to deeply understand their challenges, data needs, and opportunities for data-driven improvement.

  • Requirements Gathering & Prioritization: Translate complex business requirements into clear, concise, and actionable data product specifications and user stories, prioritizing features based on business value and technical feasibility.

  • Data Product Ownership: Act as the product owner for sales data products, managing the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and continuous iteration. This includes defining success metrics, monitoring performance, and gathering feedback for enhancements.

  • Data Mesh Evangelist: Champion data mesh principles within the Sales domain, advocating for data ownership, domain-oriented data products, self-serve capabilities, and federated computational governance.

  • Technical Acumen: Work closely with data engineers, analytic engineers, and data scientists. You'll understand the technical complexities of data platforms and help guide the build-out of robust, scalable data products.

  • Platform & Tooling Expertise: Leverage your deep understanding of modern data platforms and tools (e.g., Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Dagster) to drive platform enhancements to ensure best data products.

  • Sales Domain Expertise: Apply your strong understanding of sales processes, metrics, and systems to identify high-impact data product opportunities. Familiarity with pipeline management, sales reporting, territory planning, quota attainment, and product/customer hierarchies is essential.

  • Data Quality & Governance: Ensure data products adhere to high standards of quality, reliability, and security, working within a federated governance model.

  • Go-to-Market & Adoption: Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new data products, including user training, documentation, and communication plans to drive adoption and value realization.

  • Performance Monitoring: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for your data products, demonstrating their impact on sales effectiveness and business outcomes.

What You Bring:

  • Strategic & Technical Problem Solver: You're adept at deconstructing sophisticated problems, applying your technical depth and a data-driven approach to finding solutions. You can demonstrate both quantitative and qualitative data to inform your roadmap, with an interest in identifying both quick wins and big bets. You'll partner effectively with engineering, product marketing, product leadership, and our incredible PM team to define and scale pilot launches.

  • 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 5+ years focused on data products or data platforms.

  • Proven experience operating within or transitioning to a data mesh architecture.

  • Deep familiarity and hands-on experience with modern data platforms and tools, including:

  • Cloud Data Warehouses: Snowflake (or similar like BigQuery, Redshift)

  • Data Transformation: dbt (data build tool)

  • Orchestration: Apache Airflow, Dagster, or similar workflow management tools

  • Strong domain expertise in Sales, with a comprehensive understanding of sales processes, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and key sales metrics (e.g., win rates, conversion rates, pipeline velocity, ACV, ARR).

  • Experience defining and analyzing sales-specific metrics Managing multiple data products such as pipeline stages, forecast accuracy, product hierarchy performance, and customer segmentation simultaneously across their full lifecycle while coordinating cross-functional teams, balancing priorities, and maintaining quality in a data mesh.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data and technical concepts into business value for sales stakeholders while converting sales needs into actionable requirements for technical teams.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence strategic decisions by presenting data product roadmaps and business impact to senior leadership while building credibility across all organizational levels from sellers to C-suite.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in an agile development environment.

  • A related. technical degree required.

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience with data cataloging, data quality and discovery tools.

  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and tools in a distributed data environment.

  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
