SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES

The responsibility of the SAM Commercial Loan Assistant is to provide essential support to Commercial Resolutions Officers (CRO) and Commercial Resolutions Team Leads (TL).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manage doc prep and booking process for renewals, modifications and forbearance agreements.

  • Assist CRO and TL with nCino loan processing to include uploading documents to Doc Man

  • Review closed and funded loans for document completion, ensure that loans are booked in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Gather loan documentation for legal actions to be provided to an attorney

  • Order title searches, UCC searches, flood certification, and credit report as needed

  • Submit and monitor loan maintenance tickets for status code changes, release of lien or collateral, mortgage satisfactions, and other requests

  • Responsible for ordering appraisals through YouConnect, request upload to Web Director and update value in Navigator, upload to nCino and save to borrower's e-file.

  • Responsible for uploading pertinent legal documents to Web Director (e.g. Complaints, Notice of Lis Pendens, and Judgments)

  • Assist with SCRA searches and upload to Web Director

  • Works with the CRO and the SAM Portfolio Manager to help clear documentation or compliance deficiencies noted by Loan Operations or other reviews

  • Monitor the Forced Placed Insurance report and communicate with customers to resolve expired or cancelled insurance

  • Submit and process invoices in Workday

  • Assist with the organization of borrower e-files

  • Prepare UPS labels and packages to send original docs to Charleston Loan Ops Center

  • Provide back-up support to other Loan Assistants as needed

  • Assist the Director of Special Assets and the SAM Governance & Practices Manager in providing information for audit requests, including internal and third-party audits, internal loan review, and regulatory reviews.

  • As requested, assist with research and special projects as they arise.

  • Builds and maintains a positive working relationship with attorneys, vendors and others to enhance the Bank's image and reputation in the marketplace.

  • Remain knowledgeable of all State and Federal lending and documentation regulations as well as Bank policies, procedures and guidelines ensuring compliance

  • Continuously updates skills by participating in professional training and seeks opportunities to improve skills through cross-training offered by the Bank

Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements

  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor's degree or additional course work in banking, finance or lending is an asset.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial lending support and documentation and/or Special Assets support is preferred.

  • Certifications/Specific Knowledge: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/CLASSES

Required annual compliance training; New Employee Orientation

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, reports, and cash denominations, and identify customers. This position requires a large amount of time in front of a computer. This can be done sitting or standing with use of the right desk. This position may require bending and reaching.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Telecommuting roles no matter if hybrid or 100% full time telecommuting must have a secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions. They must also have a reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by use of cellular data (hot spot). Cable or fiber connections are preferred. Requirements are subject to change, as new systems and technology is delivered. Travel may be required to come to meetings as needed.

In accordance with Colorado law: Colorado pay for this position is anticipated to be between $48,647.00 - $77,710.00 , actual offers to be determined based on applicant's skills, experience and education.
