The Tooling, Process & Training team is responsible for the development and scaling of serviceand commissioning hardware and processes to enable rapid development and maintenance ofTeslaEnergy's global storage and charging solutions. This skilled and motivated individual will keep pushing this evolving energy industry forward by owning deep dives and development of field service efficiency improvements. The secondary responsibility involves creating new service procedures that prioritize safety, efficiency, and effectiveness.

What You'll Do
  • Identify the largest field service optimization opportunities via data analysis/modeling, trials, and field audits
  • Develop service procedures for current and next-generation Tesla Energy products

  • Drive resolution of key pain points and the propagation of developed solutions between the engineering and field service team

  • Collaborate and communicate with project stakeholders across program management, field support,customers,EHS, technical publications, service engineering, product design, etc.

  • Solve key design and process bottlenecks to enable service or install efficiency

  • Ability to travelto commissioning sites. containment/service sites, andGiga factories10-15% of the time


What You'll Bring
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Data Science Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Strong foundation in mechanical, electrical, and process engineering disciplines
  • 5-10 years of product/process experience or service/engineering support

  • A continual tinkerer, modifier, and optimizer of systems

  • Understanding of data analytics relating to ROI, failure analysis, and efficiency using Python, Excel or SQL

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams

  • Adaptable to fast-paced projects with aggressive timelines and shifting priorities, with team support and mentorship provided

  • Knowledge of implementing and using AI tools for finding trends, gaps, and automation

  • Background in renewable energy systems,electricvehiclecharging or power conversion

    Expected Compensation
    $106,400 - $206,520/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
