Salesforce is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Operations Sr. Analyst to serve as the primary administrator for our global eBilling and Matter Management platform. This role combines technical expertise with financial acumen to optimize legal spend, ensure compliance, and drive operational efficiency across our legal vendor ecosystem. This role is hybrid and goes into the office 3 days per week in San Francisco, CA or Indianapolis, IN

Responsibilities:
  • eBilling System Administration: Serve as the point of contact for our global eBilling and Matter Management platform, including user support, system and process optimization, data maintenance, and vendor onboarding/offboarding.

  • Invoice Compliance & Review: Oversee the entire electronic invoice lifecycle. Maintain billing guidelines and validation rules to ensure outside counsel invoices comply with Salesforce policies.

  • Spend Analysis & Reporting: Generate advanced reports and dashboards (using tools like Tableau or CRM Analytics) on legal spend, budget variance, billing compliance, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify cost-saving opportunities and inform financial forecasting.

  • Process Automation & Improvement: Identify gaps and inefficiencies related to matter lifecycle management, vendor onboarding, billing, and reporting, leveraging the Salesforce platform and other legal technology.

  • Stakeholder Training & Support: Serve as the main point of contact for internal Legal teams, Finance/Accounts Payable, and external law firm billing personnel to troubleshoot issues, provide system training, and communicate billing policy updates.

  • Financial Reconciliation: Partner with the Sr. Manager and Finance team on accruals, reconciliation, and payment processing, ensuring accurate month-end and quarter-end close activities.

  • Law Firm Lifecycle Management: Manage the operational lifecycle for external vendors, including the end-to-end process for law firm onboarding, vendor maintenance, and supporting the execution of outside counsel engagement agreements.

  • RFP and Bidding Management: Support and manage the execution of matter-level Request for Proposals (RFPs) and competitive bidding processes for outside counsel engagements, analyzing proposals and spend estimates to drive favorable economic and service outcomes.

Requirements:
  • Experience will be evaluated based on alignment to the Values & Behaviors for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer work, etc.)

  • Minimum of 3+ years Legal Operations Legal Billing, senior financial/billing analyst

  • Experience with major eBilling platforms and administration

  • Knowledge of Outside Counsel Billing Guidelines, UTBMS codes, and LEDES formats

  • Expert troubleshooting skills for invoice and system issues

  • Track record of process improvement in eBilling/invoice workflows

  • Advanced data analysis and visualization skills using Tableau or similar platforms

  • Strong financial knowledge including budgeting, forecasting, and spend analysis

  • Experience managing vendor relationships and data integrity

  • Excellent communication skills with diverse stakeholders

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong problem-solving abilities

  • Salesforce platform experience or administration is a plus
