Facilities Maintenance Technician What this job involves: JLL is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician/Facilities Painter to join our team and provide comprehensive support to assigned buildings. This role combines specialized painting expertise with general facilities maintenance to ensure our properties maintain exceptional appearance and functionality. You will be responsible for surface preparation, painting, touch-ups across multiple surfaces and finishes, while performing routine repair, maintenance, restoration, and replacement of various building components. This position directly contributes to JLL's commitment to delivering superior facility management services that create welcoming, well-maintained environments for our clients and their occupants. What your day-to-day will look like: * Perform repair, maintenance, restoration, and replacement of various building structural components * Prepare, prime, and paint interior and exterior surfaces while performing general handyman tasks * Patch and paint offices, outdoor areas, and controlled work environments to maintain professional standards * Maintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, doors, furniture, and access controllers * Assist with plumbing maintenance including toilets, urinals, lavatories, flush valves, and piping systems * Remove and reinstall fixtures such as doorknobs and electric switch covers as needed * Communicate with clients to determine painting requirements and provide expert recommendations Required Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent * Minimum of 3 years experience in general building repair, maintenance, basic plumbing, painting, and electrical work * Excellent communication skills, both oral and written * Demonstrated mechanical and electrical aptitude * Ability to regularly lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. * Proficient in safely performing overhead work while standing on ladders * Capable of regular physical activities including walking, bending, stooping, crouching, crawling, lifting, pushing, and pulling Preferred Qualifications: * Previous painting experience in industrial or commercial environments * Experience in regulated environments such as pharmaceutical, medical research device, or Life Science industries * Knowledge of surface preparation techniques including washing, filling holes, sanding, and priming * Experience with paint mixing, matching, and application using brushes, rollers, or sprayers * Familiarity with work order systems and preventative maintenance programs * Customer service experience in facility management settings Location: Onsite- Devens, MA Salary/Comp: $26.00 - $30.00/hour Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM At JLL, we are collectively shaping a brighter way - for our clients, ourselves and our fellow employees.
