Description Construction Estimator Location: Charleston, SC Company: Sprinturf, LLC Job Type: Full-Time \| On-site About the Role Sprinturf is seeking an Estimator who values accuracy, consistency, and independent work. You'll be responsible for preparing well-documented, detailed estimates for various construction scopes, including but not limited to materials, labor, and subcontracted work. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in doing things right the first time, enjoys working with clear expectations, and prefers a steady, structured workload. What You'll Do Receive and organize bid documents from the sales team Perform digital quantity takeoffs using PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar tools Enter scope and quantities into standardized estimate templates Contact vendors and subcontractors for pricing and clarifications Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure scope alignment Prepare clear, well-organized bids and scope sheets for review and pricing Manage multiple ongoing bids in a structured workflow Maintain accurate records and support smooth handoffs to project management upon award You'll typically spend most of your day working independently on detailed estimating tasks in a focused environment. We provide training, templates, and tools to help you succeed. Success Looks Like In your first 90 days, you'll: Complete onboarding and training on our estimate templates and software Submit your first 10+ bids with guidance from our estimating lead Accurately perform takeoffs on standard project scopes Begin independently managing small-to-medium bid packages By 6 months, you'll: Manage 10+ estimates per week across multiple project types Communicate effectively with vendors to gather and confirm pricing Consistently meet submission deadlines Provide clean, organized documentation that's easy to review and hand off Requirements 1+ years of experience in estimating or construction-related work Strong proficiency in Excel; experience with PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar software Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Excellent written communication and documentation skills Highly organized and methodical with strong attention to detail Experience in site/civil estimating is a plus, but not required Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $65,000-$90,000 (depending on experience) Bonus: Annual performance-based Schedule: 8-5 (Mon-Fri) with one work-from-home day per week Benefits: Medical, dental, vision (company contribution) 401(k): With company match PTO: Generous paid time off plus holidays Training: Paid onboarding and continued technical development Why Sprinturf?
