Nurse Practitioner Pediatric Diabetes Program PEDS-ENDOCRINOLOGY Part Time 86746BR Job Summary The NP role involves comprehensive research, clinical projects, and pediatric diabetes care for children with all types of diabetes, including support for global health initiatives. Responsibilities include conducting regular clinic visits, performing physical exams, reviewing diabetes data, and adjusting insulin regimens and medications as needed. Clinical management also encompasses diabetes education, case management, and training patients on diabetes devices, including investigational technologies. The NP will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care, respond to inquiries, review data, and adjust treatments to improve metabolic control. Additionally, the NP will lead group sessions to educate patients and families on diabetes devices and treatments, while sharing responsibilities within the Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) pool. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $100.48 - $130.31 (Hourly Rate).
