Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Works independently to diagnose process problems, develop, and implement corrective actions to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, scheduling, and eliminate downtime.
- Planning and designing of manufacturing processes and support tooling, manufacturing equipment utilization, layout of assembly, and material handling operations.
- Ability to follow safety standards while leading and inspiring workers in a team environment, assist in the training of plant personnel, and promote culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Work with suppliers to develop new ways of working and implement technology where applicable.
- Plans, coordinates, and achieves successful launches of projects plant wide.
- Cross train through the engineering department and assist in areas as needed.
- Ability to generate work instructions and SOP's and implement on the floor with team members.
- Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specifications requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related fields
- Experience in continuous improvement and lean implementations and project management
- Knowledge of different manufacturing methods, metal fabrications, material removal, paint, blasting/deburr. CNC machining, fiberglass, composites, welding/brazing, and assembly
Computer Skills Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook.

- ERP/MRP systems - SAGE is a plus
