Iteris is looking for a Traffic Incident Management Coordinator [TIM Coordinator] work includes participation in program planning, performance data analysis, oversight of incident management programs, meeting coordination, preparation of technical correspondence and reports, contacts with and/or appearances before local officials, civic and community groups, public agencies, etc., to promote and implement Traffic Incident Management (TIM) activities for FDOT.



The TIM Coordinator shall meet with FDOT TSM&O Incident Management Program Manager on a bi-weekly basis, or at any time requested by FDOT's TSM&O Incident Management Program Manager, to discuss the latest activities and events and any other topic of interest regarding the Incident Management Program and its components.



What you will be doing:




  • Support and coordinate all incident management programs and initiatives identified in this Scope of Services, in accordance with the latest version of the District 7 RTMC SOP
  • Oversee, coordinate, and assist in developing procedures for implementing, administering, and evaluating TIM plans or programs
  • Serve as liaison with federal, state, and local agencies in matters concerning the coordination of TIM-related plans and services
  • Collect, organize, analyze, and prepare performance reports of TIM-related data, programs, and information systems
  • Review and prepare correspondence, reports, studies, give briefings and make presentations regarding program activities
  • Present on incident management to State and local officials and various groups and organizations
  • Research new incident management techniques, equipment, and technologies
  • Conduct annual FHWA TIMSA for each county-level TIM Team
  • Support management oversight of the Road Ranger Contracts
  • Ensure that all communications and coordination efforts between the operations staff and the RRSPs are in accordance with the District 7 RTMC SOP
  • Make sure that all contract requirements are being met by Road Ranger
  • Contractors (operational performance, including monitoring performance deficiencies)
  • Coordinate RRSP operations as documented in the latest version of the District 7 RTMC SOP
  • Review and provide recommendations of the Road Ranger Contractor invoices
  • Project contract expenditures based on existing and future Road Ranger program operational needs
  • Prepare and submit the Road Ranger Contractor performance deficiency evaluation on a monthly basis (deliverable)
  • Conduct the bi-weekly Road Ranger Contractor(s) meeting
  • Conduct monthly inspections on all RRSP Operators and vehicles
  • Ensure that all communications and coordination efforts between the operations staff are in accordance with the District 7 RTMC SOP
  • Review and provide recommendations of the RISC Vendor invoice reports
  • Conduct annual inspections on all RISC units
  • Conduct RRSP and RISC Operator qualifications review
  • Maintain all required RISC documentation current, including but not limited to RISC section within the District 7 RTMC SOP and RISC Binders
  • Archive/file all RISC Contracts documentation
  • Coordinate and conduct After Action Review (AAR) meetings on level 3 incidents, RISC incidents and any other incident as requested by the TSM&O Incident Management Program Manager
  • Project contract expenditures based on existing and future RISC operational needs
  • Supervise and coordinate tasks with the TSM&O Incident Management Program Manager



What you need to be successful in this role:




  • Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, or Business Administration degree or the equivalent of three (3) years experience in incident management operations of a facility similar to the RTMC
  • Demonstrated equivalency of experience in law enforcement, fire rescue, emergency response, or emergency management
  • Good leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Good public speaking skills
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical information in layman's terms
  • Ability to present images and ideas in a clear, concise, and organized manner to an audience
  • Ability to plan, coordinate and handle multiple projects within the area of responsibility to meet short- and long-term deadlines
  • Skilled in the use of Windows Office suite
  • Ability to write technical reports, correspondence, manuals, and advertising materials
  • Ability to coordinate real-time activities and priorities
  • Possesses strong familiarity with the District's freeway and arterial system
  • Possesses strong familiarity with RRSP, RISC, and law enforcement incident response
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as a team member



Iteris anticipates paying an hourly rate between $28.00 and $30.00 for this role. Actual pay offered may be below or above these amounts, depending on the individual's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
