Managed Lanes Shift Leader

Iteris is looking for a Managed Lanes Shift Leader who possesses strong familiarity of the District's freeway and arterial systems as well as the managed lanes network.

What you will be doing:

• Primary operators of the Statewide Express Lanes Software (SELS)
• Verify trip and segment toll amounts are displayed correctly every 15 minutes
• Monitor Express and general-purpose lanes
• Manage events in the Express Lanes in accordance with District 7 ELOPs and District 7 RTMC SOP
• Monitor field devices along Express and general-purpose lanes and report failures in accordance with District 7 RTMC SOP
• Closely coordinate and support all Express Lanes operations
• Prepare or assist with the preparation of Express Lanes reports
• Send executive notification e-mails in the absence of a supervisor or Shift Leader
• Monitor the status of Managed Lanes using CCTV cameras, RRSP, detector data, etc. to include detecting, confirming, updating, and responding to scheduled and unscheduled traffic and incident management events, congestion, and travel time imbalances in the geographical coverage area
• Enter into SunGuide software all scheduled and unscheduled events and congestion in the Managed Lanes and disseminate information using ITS devices, websites, and FL511system
• Coordinate with other Control Room staff, law enforcement, and external agencies in response to incidents
• Dispatch RRSPs and RISC to motorists, events, and to assist law enforcement in a timely and efficient manner
• Manage WWD events in the Managed Lanes
• Detect, confirm, and report equipment faults affecting Control Room equipment and RTMC system field equipment
• Coordinate with maintenance staff as needed
• Follow FDOT District 7 policies and procedures, including the District 7 RTMC SOP
• Follow time requirements in the District 7 RTMC SOP for event confirmation, RRSP and RISC dispatching, DMS message posting, FL511 system update, etc.

What you need to be successful in this role:

• One (1) year experience as a Managed Lanes Operator III in an RTMC or equivalent facility
• Extensive knowledge of traffic management systems such as SunGuide
• Knowledge of ITS principles
• Skills in leadership and knowledge of key management concepts
• Ability to clearly communicate information over a radio system or network
• Ability to clearly communicate technical information in non-technical language verbally and in writing
• Ability and willingness to work alternate schedules and be on-call 24 hours per day
• Skilled in the use of FMS, ATMS, and SELS software

Iteris anticipates paying an hourly rate between $24.00 and $26.00 for this role. Actual pay offered may be below or above these amounts, depending on the individual's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
