Introduction to the job

As a Project Lead - Light Conditioning, you will play a key role in shaping the future of semiconductor technology. At ASML, we create advanced lithography systems that enable the world's leading chipmakers to produce faster, smaller, and more energy-efficient microchips. These chips power everything from smartphones to medical devices, driving innovation across industries. In this role, you will help integrate cutting-edge technology into our products and ensure projects run smoothly from concept to completion.

Role and responsibilities

You will lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects that impact ASML's technology roadmap. Your work will ensure timely delivery of milestones and continuous improvement of processes.

  • Manage cross-sector projects and resolve related issues.
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans and work breakdown structures.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver milestones on time and within scope.
  • Align resources and team efforts with project goals.
  • Identify risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align deliverables.
  • Communicate progress through clear reports and presentations.
Education and experience
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Optics, Controls, or a related field, plus:
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience.
  • Or Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience.

Additionally:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience leading small to medium technical teams.
  • Proven ability to oversee multiple concurrent activities.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and oral.

Other information

This position is based on-site in San Diego, CA. You will attend in-person meetings, trainings, and collaborative sessions. A flexible work arrangement may be available when job duties allow. Occasional travel (up to 10%) may be required.

Role within Office

Responsibilities

  • Work in a fast-paced office environment, including working in a standing or seated position for long periods sometimes exceeding 8 hours per day, 5 days per week.
  • Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.
  • Perform office tasks using simple hand grasping, fine hand manipulation and reach associated with assigned tasks such as paperwork, computer keyboarding (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint), filing, calculating, and use of telephone or other handheld electronic devices, continuously sometimes exceeding 8 hours per day, five days per week.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • May require travel (specify domestic and/or international) dependent on business needs, up to 10%
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Role within the Factory

Responsibilities

  • Must be willing to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves for entire duration of shift.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.
  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:

$108,000-180,000

Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.

The Company offers employees and their families, medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to participate in the Company's 401k plan. Employees will also receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month and (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
