Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite for our client in New Castle, DE. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Overhauling train components by removing, inspecting, replacing, and fitting parts according to work instructions, and performing maintenance on mechanical and electronic equipment.
  • Key duties include cleaning and pre-cleaning components, operating machinery like pressure washers, using overhead cranes, and documenting work.
  • The role involves both hands-on mechanical/electronic work and ensuring quality, safety, and continuous improvement in the repair process.
  • Execute all aspects of overhaul maintenance for train and rail vehicle components, meeting production plan requirements.
  • Remove, inspect, replace, and fit components in accordance with client work instructions.
  • Operate equipment like pressure washers for pre-cleaning and work.
  • Safely move components using overhead cranes and lifting devices
  • Maintain technical documentation, accurately document actions and operations, and use a laptop for diagnostics and fault-finding.
  • Foster a "Zero Harm Culture," ensure products are repaired to a high standard, and maintain workshop cleanliness and PPE requirements.
  • Contribute to improving repair costs, time, and quality.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $ 22.50 /hr

Hours: 40 hrs / Week (1st shift)

Length: Temporary (8 months)

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a mechanical environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, able to use basic shop tools and power tools, able to use test instruments and have a level of fault-finding experience.
  • Good documentation skills, basic computer knowledge, and forklift operation experience.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be needed to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the necessary employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
  • Technicians will work in high-voltage test environments.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting (up to 40 pounds), standing, walking, and using tools.
