Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Full-Time in Nevada City, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a government location. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the premises, and respond to incidents as needed, while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
  • Carry out armed patrols throughout the government location, both on a scheduled and random basis, to help to deter unauthorized activity and to observe for potential issues.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate de-escalation and security-related protocols.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other strategic areas of the location to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, observations, and incidents as required by Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergency situations, including those that may require an armed presence, in accordance with Allied Universal and site instructions.
  • Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and/or the public while upholding Allied Universal standards and the expectations of the government setting.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
