The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

Grade: Professional 308 Pay Range: $73,000.00 - $109,400.00

Job Description

As aBusiness Analyst, you'll play a key role in driving process improvements and supporting technology solutions that help WGU achieve its mission. You'll lead projects, analyze data, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights that shape strategic decisions and enhance operational efficiency.

What You'll Do
* Lead process improvement initiatives by gathering and analyzing information from multiple sources and translating needs into actionable plans
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, budgets, and stakeholder requirements are met
* Develop business cases, project plans, and documentation to support departmental goals
* Extract, compile, and analyze complex data sets to provide data-driven recommendations for strategic planning
* Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to define technical vision and evaluate usability and performance trade-offs
* Coordinate testing processes to ensure system performance meets project requirements and resolve issues effectively
* Build and run reports to measure outcomes and support continuous improvement

What You'll Bring
* Bachelor's degree in management information systems, computer science, or a related field
* Three (3) years of experience analyzing, implementing, or supporting systems, plus prior project management experience
* Advanced critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Strong leadership and project management abilities with excellent organizational skills
* Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly through written and oral communication
* Proficiency in using related computer equipment and applications
* Ability to build consensus and motivate teams while meeting deadlines

Bonus Points if You Have
* Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
* Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

* Workfront Admin Experience

Experience in lieu of education

Equivalent relevant experience performing the essential functions of this job may substitute for education degree requirements. Generally, equivalent relevant experience is defined as 1 year of experience for 1 year of education and is the discretion of the hiring manager.
