As a Security Officer - Armed Industrial Patrol in Portsmouth, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain visibly present to help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and control entry and exit of personnel, vehicles, and/or visitors in accordance with site protocols.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or unusual occurrences within the location to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of incidents, patrols, and any security-related activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed during incidents or emergencies.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to potential threats or emergencies while on duty at the manufacturing and industrial location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
