Security Officer - Armed Patrol Education

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Education in Wilmington, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence at an educational location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible throughout the campus, and delivering exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to respond quickly and appropriately to situations as they arise. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the educational facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and promote a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or hazards encountered during patrols.
• Work collaboratively with campus personnel and local authorities as needed in response to incidents or emergencies.
• Remain alert and attentive while on duty, adapting to varying working environments and conditions as required by the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least six months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
