As a Senior Loss Prevention Coordinator, you will play a critical role in safeguarding company assets by identifying and managing delivery-related freight claims. You will take ownership of minimizing losses through proactive solutions, ensuring timely resolution of Overages, Shortages, and Damages (OS&D) issues. You will compile and analyze monthly reports, file vendor claims for liability events, and communicate effectively across departments to keep projects on track and deadlines met.

In this role, you will collaborate with Business Management, Sales, Vendors, and Customers to navigate complex challenges while maintaining exceptional service standards. You will leverage your analytical skills and attention to detail to uncover trends, recommend improvements, and drive initiatives that prevent future losses. Occasional travel for training will allow you to deepen your expertise and strengthen partnerships, making you an integral part of a team committed to operational excellence and risk mitigation.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Operational Excellence

  • Monitor OS&D Incidents: Review daily Over, Short & Damaged (OS&D) occurrences, including refused product, quantity discrepancies, and quality exceptions, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining high accuracy.
  • Claims Reporting: Compile and distribute daily claims reports promptly, guaranteeing complete and error-free documentation for internal tracking and compliance.
  • Inventory & Account Adjustments: Process inventory and customer account adjustments quickly and accurately to maintain data integrity and support smooth operations.

Compliance & Communication

  • Vendor & Carrier Agreement Review: Evaluate carrier and vendor Master Service Agreements (MSAs) regularly to confirm performance alignment and document findings for continuous improvement.
  • Policy Compliance & Communication: Adhere to departmental policies while clearly communicating expectations to internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring consistent compliance.
  • Root Cause & Corrective Action: Collaborate with team members to identify root causes of delivery discrepancies and implement corrective actions that reduce repeat issues and improve service levels.

Continuous Improvement

  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement workflow enhancements that streamline OS&D resolution and claims reporting, reducing turnaround times and improving efficiency.
  • Data Analysis: Track and analyze trends in OS&D incidents and claims to develop proactive strategies that minimize future discrepancies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with vendors, carriers, and internal teams through regular communication and feedback sessions to enhance collaboration and service quality.

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred.
  • Prior food industry or retail experience, preferred.
  • Strong Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel.
  • SAP experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective critical thinking, decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, plan, prioritize and set goals.
  • Meet Goals and expectations
  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

Qualification List

  • The ability to drive solutions and make sound financial solutions.
  • Possess soft skills such critical and creative thinking, collaboration and creative thinking.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and changing priorities
  • Familiarity with International Shipping
  • Familiarity with Power BI
  • Experience in carrier liability, filing and collecting freight claims.
