Position Description This is an entry-level to mid-level accounting position that will help provide accounting support for the Grenada, MS and the U.S. Coatings facilities. The analyst will process journal entries, help in month-end closing, and perform other duties necessary to ensure timely completion of the month-end close processes. This individual will also perform account reconciliations. The position will help the analyst develop a proficiency in a number of different accounting responsibilities and duties in a manufacturing environment during the first few years. Key Responsibilities Record monthly journal entries to ensure they are accurately reflected in the income statement and balance sheet in a timely manner. Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities and processes. Help provide internal and external audit support as required. Comply with relevant Financial Standard Practices (FSPs), policies and procedures. Support plant accounting activities as needed. Prepare balance sheet analyses and account reconciliations. Help with plant physical inventory counts and reconciliations. Become familiar with the 80/20 operating model. Complete other tasks as assigned. Required Education & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field 0-5 years of accounting or finance experience preferred. Basic Excel skills and working knowledge of U.S. GAAP. Previous use or knowledge of SAP, BlackLine, and/or Hyperion is a plus. Should be flexible and able to adapt to shifting priorities. Ability to communicate effectively. Possess strong organizational skills. Why Choose Modine?
