Security Site Supervisor

Allied Universal is hiring a Site Supervisor. The general purpose and function of the Site Supervisor encompasses the professional operation, administration, profitability, and quality assurance of uniformed services for a client's site.

Position Summary

The Post Commander serves as the on-site lead for security operations, responsible for supervising daily activities, ensuring compliance with all client and company standards, and maintaining a safe, professional, and secure environment. This position acts as the primary liaison between Facilities, Global Security, and Allied Universal, overseeing the performance, training, and readiness of all assigned security officers.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Supervision

* Provide daily leadership and direction to the on-site security team.

* Conduct pre-shift briefings, post inspections, and shift handovers to ensure clear communication and operational consistency.

* Supervise officer performance, provide coaching and corrective feedback, and document any performance issues.

* Ensure officers are properly trained, uniformed, and equipped to carry out site-specific security duties.

* Identify opportunities to improve existing post procedures and enhance operational efficiency.

* Develop, update, and deliver training materials, post orders, and job aids to maintain consistent knowledge and readiness among the team.

* Monitor and track all site training activity to ensure every officer remains current with required certifications, system training (e.g., Brivo, Fusion, Eagle Eye), and policy updates.

Operations and Compliance

* Maintain compliance with site-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Global Security policies, and Facilities guidelines.

* Oversee access control operations, including visitor management, temporary badge issuance, and contractor check-in.

* Respond to and investigate incidents, alarms, and policy violations according to established escalation procedures.

* Review and approve incident and activity reports for accuracy and professionalism.

* Coordinate with Facilities on matters involving cameras, door alarms, and physical security systems.

Training and Process Improvement

* Collaborate with Facilities to review and refine post orders, emergency procedures, and incident response workflows.

* Maintain a comprehensive training tracker documenting officer qualifications, training completion dates, and refresher requirements.

* Conduct ongoing site-specific training, including access control, emergency response, and customer service protocols.

* Lead periodic tabletop exercises or drills as directed by Facilities leadership.

* Recommend and implement process improvements to strengthen efficiency, safety, and compliance.

Administrative and Reporting Duties

* Maintain officer rosters, schedules, and attendance records.

* Ensure all reports, activity logs, and documentation are accurate and submitted on time.

* Support onboarding and training for new officers assigned to the site.

* Prepare daily and weekly operational summaries for Facilities.

* Maintain readiness for audits, inspections, or after-action reviews.

Qualifications

* Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required); college coursework or formal leadership training preferred.

* Experience:

o Minimum 5-8 years of security experience, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

o Minimum 3 years of clerical experience.

o Experience in corporate, R&D, or manufacturing environments preferred.

o Familiarity with access control and reporting systems such as Brivo, Fusion, Eagle Eye or similar highly desirable.

* Licensing: Active state security officer license/guard card (required).

* Certifications: CPR/AED and First Aid preferred.

Skills and Competencies

* Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making skills.

* Excellent written and verbal communication.

* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially for documentation and training tracking.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and security management systems.

* Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies or high-pressure situation

* High integrity, professionalism, and commitment to client service

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Oversee that all aspects of the security function on-site are performed in a diligent manner (staffing, scheduling, and on-site training all Allied Universal. personnel assigned to his/her site)
  • Ensure that contract-required training and screening elements for security personnel have been met
  • Maintain overtime to a minimal or preset requirement designated by AUS
  • Ensure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting security personnel and their job performance when assigned to his/her shift
  • Perform other operations and related functions (e.g., payroll, review and maintain incident reports, assist in preparation of security surveys and post orders)
  • Make recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those under his/her direct supervision.
  • Respond to client requests
  • Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders
  • Provide direction and instruction to subordinates in regard to the performance of their duties
  • Disciplinary action/commendation decisions pertaining to security personnel
  • Make productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management
  • Make recommendations for physical security surveys and post orders
  • Make recommendations concerning disciplinary action/commendation decisions pertaining to security personnel

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
  • Must be able to pass a state licensing test if driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle
  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • Service in the active-duty military, military reserves, or National Guard
    • Service in Auxiliary Police or Police Cadets
    • Minimum of one year verifiable and successful supervisory experience in security-related industry
    • Associate's degree or higher in any discipline
  • Be at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state (21 years, if armed)
  • Be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
