Job Description




As a Security Officer - Telecom Patrol Full-Time in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic technology and media location. Your visible presence helps to deter security-related incidents, while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. You will perform routine patrols, respond to incidents, and assist visitors and team members as needed. Join our agile and innovative team, where people come first and integrity guides every action. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the overall security-related needs of the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify potential issues.
  • Document and report any irregularities, property damage, or unusual occurrences encountered during patrols.
  • Assist visitors and employees with directions and general information as part of a customer-focused approach.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to address security-related concerns specific to a technology and media environment.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and promptly communicate any security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
