As a Security Guard - Shelter Roving Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol the assigned shelter location, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, providing exceptional customer service, and communicating clearly with staff and residents. What You'll Do:

• Provide excellent customer service to individuals at the shelter location by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity or behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related concerns, or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Collaborate with shelter staff and/or law enforcement as needed to address incidents or emergencies.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all activities, incidents, and/or observations as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
