Role Overview

The Project Manager leads the day-to-day delivery of a large, transformational Oracle HCM Cloud implementation. This role partners closely with a System Integrator (SI), HR leaders, and internal IT teams to deliver a modern HR platform that changes how the organization works. The Project Manager focuses on execution, coordination, and communication to ensure the project is successful and adopted across the business.



Responsibilities

    Manage the full lifecycle of a major Oracle HCM Cloud transformation, from planning through go-live and stabilization
  • Own detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones aligned to HR and enterprise transformation goals
  • Work closely with the System Integrator (SI) to coordinate delivery, track progress, and resolve issues
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the SI, internal IT teams, and HR stakeholders
  • Coordinate work across HCM areas such as Core HR, Payroll, Talent, and Benefits, ensuring dependencies are understood and managed
  • Partner with technical teams and the SI to support data migration, integrations, testing, and configuration
  • Identify risks, issues, and impacts early, and drive timely resolution
  • Ensure the project meets security, privacy, and regulatory requirements
  • Track and report on project status, including scope, schedule, budget, risks, and key decisions
  • Prepare clear, concise updates for leadership and key stakeholders
  • Support readiness activities including testing cycles, training preparation, and go-live planning
  • Work closely with change management and training teams to support adoption and long-term success
  • Help teams understand that this is not just a system implementation, but a change to processes, roles, and ways of working


Qualifications

Required Experience and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7-10+ years of experience managing complex projects in an enterprise environment
  • Proven experience delivering large, cross-functional technology or system implementation projects
  • Experience working with System Integrators or external delivery partners
  • Strong ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities
  • Comfortable working in a matrixed environment with shared ownership
Preferred
  • PMP or similar project management certification
  • Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery approaches
  • Experience supporting large-scale business or digital transformations
  • Exposure to HR systems or HCM platforms (Oracle HCM Cloud experience is a plus)
Knowledge and Capabilities
  • Strong foundation in project management practices such as planning, scheduling, risk management, and scope control
  • Ability to translate complex technical and process changes into clear, actionable language
  • Experience using project management tools such as Asana, Smartsheet, Jira, or MS Project
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including working with senior leaders
  • Ability to influence outcomes and drive progress without direct authority
  • Experience supporting organizational change, new ways of working, or process redesign


Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stands; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Compensation Information

The expected salary range for this position (Oracle Project Manager) in US-MA-Boston is between $152,000 and $214,000 USD. This represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Suffolk's total compensation package. Actual salaries may be based on several factors including, but not limited to, skill set, experience, education and other qualifications. Suffolk offers a comprehensive benefits package as part of its overall compensation strategy. Salary ranges may differ by geography and are reviewed regularly to reflect market trends.
