3rd Class Forge Operator

We are looking for a Rod Utility Forge Operator located in Tulsa, OK. This is your opportunity to join a global technology company, driving energy innovation for a balanced planet.

What You Will Do:

• Operates all machines in Rod Forge Department equipped with dies that form metal stocks into various shapes.
• Sets and aligns tools and dies in machines. Has knowledge of forging temperatures.
• Grinds Rod Forging dies.
• Observes and adjusts machine as required.
• Requires no assistance in setting up machine and little supervision.
• Assures quality job on wide variety of products. Inspects work as per prints and specifications.
• Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced by helper or assistant.
• Checks machine parts and lubrication to avoid breakage.
• Keeps notes on previous setups as to heats and tool settings for next setup.
• Follows previous operator without change of dies and tools.
• Obtains reasonable production with minimum supervision.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Two year technical degree or equivalent education and/or experience. Valid driver's license in state of residence required.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs regularly, and 100 lbs occasionally.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
• The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
• Employee is required to occasionally walk in customer field locations which may include inclines, uneven surfaces, and a variety of weather conditions.
• Employee must be able to regularly bend, stoop, crawl, lay down, twist and push.
• Employee is required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment including but not limited to shoes/boots, hard hats, or respirators.
