Job Summary

The Bid Desk Specialist facilitates all partner pricing and manages internal and external bid programs to help CDW's Sales Organization grow margin and revenue. This role applies special pricing scenarios through ongoing collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Procurement, Purchasing, Accounting, and Partner representatives. The Specialist contributes to strategic initiatives across a broad portfolio of bid and promotional programs and is expected to be proficient in core Bid Desk processes.

What you'll do

  • Validate end-user eligibility; enter associated costs, calculations, timeframes, and discounts.
  • Prepare and execute partner price files related to base/acquisition cost and minimum advertised price (MAP).
  • Prepare and execute rebates and claims for price protection and partner promotional pricing.
  • Identify automation opportunities for bids, pricing, and processes.
  • Maintain promotional and MAP programs.
  • Audit system pricing for accuracy and margin expectations.
  • Address and escalate bid pricing and partner pricing issues from stakeholders.
  • Reviews adjustments for commissions.
  • Assists with AP transaction requests.
  • Support month-end activities including troubleshooting and adjustments.
  • Document and maintain procedures and protocols.
  • Conduct proactive Sales trainings and peer training sessions.
  • Execute, maintain, and audit bid and pricing data across multiple systems.
  • Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Identify system defects and recommend enhancements.
  • Engage in special projects based on business needs.
  • Provide Sales with high-level service and meet performance goals.
  • Understand rebate collection and PO action processes; resolve discrepancies with Accounting and Finance.
  • Validate partner data and documentation for pricing accuracy.
  • Initiate and maintain partner relationships.
  • Collaborate on cross-departmental initiatives to improve bid utilization and profitability.
  • Multi-task across multiple bid programs and collaborate with team members.
  • Work with Bid Partner Management to improve pricing programs.
  • Assist in departmental projects and initiatives.
  • Participate in mandatory trainings.
  • Run and interpret reporting aligned with bid and pricing data.
  • Use reports to improve bid programs, automation, accuracy, and profit.

What we expect of you

  • Bachelor's Degree, OR
  • 3 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Product Management, Sales, or a related field with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid data entry skills with attention to detail
  • Effective time management and multitasking abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven track record of meeting accuracy and productivity goals
  • Customer service or sales experience
  • Working knowledge of AS400

Pay range: $22.60/hour- $31.44/hour depending on experience and skill set
