JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Sensory Lab Technician leads the organization, implementation, and maintenance of Sensory Lab programs and documentation, creating a safe and efficient workspace in which team members can complete sensory tests with excellence. This individual also oversees sample management and is the main point of contact for Sensory Technicians and Specialists during sensory test execution. Beyond the local work environment, the Senior Sensory Lab Technician assists in driving initiatives for continuous improvement of sensory lab practices across the global R&D Food organization. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Support Sensory Tests & Trainings: - Manage sensory product reception, storage, inventory, and disposal in collaboration with clients and laboratory staff. - Assist Sensory Specialists with test creation in sensory software and launch respective IT sessions. - Coordinate panel instructions with Sensory Specialists and Technicians before, during, and after sensory studies. - Assist Specialists with sensory training, sensory glossary development, and other sensory related activities as required. - Assist Sensory Specialists with the coordination and execution of training activities for employees. * Assist Sensory Panel Management: - Work closely with internal and external cross-functional teams to facilitate contractor recruitment activities and agency management. - Work with IT to set up equipment for new sensory panelists. - Oversee contractor time management to ensure adequate resource allocation. - Prepare monthly reports on resource utilization for services provided to relevant business partners.
