Civil Engineering Manager

Staffmark is hiring a Civil Engineering Manager to lead engineering operations for our partner company in Concord, NC. This role combines technical oversight with business development and team leadership, making it ideal for a licensed PE with strong managerial experience in civil engineering.

Pay: $120,000 - $140,000/year

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage engineering projects, staff, and daily operations
• Oversee business development, client relations, and strategic planning
• Identify new market opportunities and grow client partnerships
• Set and achieve annual business goals, department budgets, and schedules
• Ensure compliance with quality control and performance standards
• Support proposal development, cost estimates, and technical submissions
• Guide and mentor engineering staff; conduct performance evaluations
• Manage multiple clients, schedules, and deliverables
• Represent the company in interviews, presentations, and recruiting events
• Attend and lead internal department and project management meetings
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in civil engineering (land development preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of staff management experience
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office
• Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
