Buyer - Middletown, CT

Daily duties will include the following:

• Buying and planning on materials needed.
• Decide which freight/carriers is most appropriate for orders.
• Bill of Ladings
• Reviewing order acknowledgements for accuracy
• Expediting open purchase orders
• Working with the Receiving Departments on any vendor shipping discrepancies
• Communication with vendors regarding products and orders
• Assist Sales Team with sales orders and purchasing issues
• Work with AP Department regarding billing issues
• Manage inventory product levels to minimize dead-stock and obsolete products

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1+ years of supply chain experience.
• Must have strong organizational, communication and computer skills including Excel, Word and Outlook
• Must be a team player and proactive problem solver
• Must be able to work independently
