Position Summary

The Fletcher Machine Team Member supports key production processes including feeding, inspection, boxing, keyholing, and material handling. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality finished goods while maintaining safety, accuracy, and flow on the production line.

Responsibilities

  • Fletcher Operations
    • Feed panels and materials into the Fletcher machine safely and consistently.
    • Perform visual and physical inspections for quality, defects, scratches, coating issues, and measurement accuracy.
    • Complete keyholing operations with accuracy and ensure proper alignment and spacing.
    • Box and package finished goods following company standards.
    • Ensure materials, components, and finished panels flow smoothly through the work area.
  • Quality & Documentation
    • Follow all quality checks, inspection standards, and documented procedures.
    • Identify and remove defective materials or notify leadership of quality concerns.
    • Use Epicor to issue materials, report production quantities, scrap, and record job progress.
    • Maintain accuracy in counts, labels, and documentation to support inventory control.
    • Support customer-specific packaging or inspection requirements when assigned.
  • Safety & Compliance
    • Follow all required PPE guidelines (safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.).
    • Stay aware of moving machinery and maintain safe hand placement at all times.
    • Follow lockout/tag-out procedures when applicable.
    • Use proper ergonomics when lifting, pushing carts, or handling panels and boxes.
  • Teamwork & Communication
    • Work closely with other team members on the line to maintain flow and meet production goals.
    • Communicate issues promptly to leads or supervisors.
    • Assist in other areas of the department as needed based on production requirements.

Personal Attributes and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Ability to read job travelers, labels, and basic production documentation.
  • Basic computer skills for Epicor transactions and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork.
  • Critical thinker with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be capable of lifting and handling large heavy loads. (Up to 60 lbs.)
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must be a qualified Forklift certified or willingness to become certified.

Work Environment

  • Exposure to a manufacturing environment with coatings, wood dust, noise, and moving equipment.
  • Requires frequent lifting (up to 60 lbs.), bending, and prolonged standing throughout the shift.
